New Christian FM Stations Soon to be Authorized
                      

     RADIO 74 assisted more than 30 local churches, schools and non-profit organizations prepare and submit their applications during the October, 2007, FCC filing window for new non-commercial educational (NCE) FM radio stations. 

    The Lord is blessing most of these projects.  Our latest analysis indicates that at least 20 of these applications are on track to be granted by the FCC.  Given the level of competition, this is a high success rate.  All glory to God!

We expect the FCC will grant permits to future RADIO 74 affiliate stations in at least 14 States:

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oaklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Most of these new full-service stations will provide strong first or second educational and Christian radio service to underserved areas of the country.

Unlike Low Power FM stations which can only be heard a few miles, these new NCE stations will be heard over wide areas, some more than 70 miles in all directions.

Strict time limits are placed on FCC construction permits.   Once granted, a station must be fully built within 36 months or else the permit is annuled.

The cost to build these FM stations will vary depending on tower height and output power... from as little as $15,000 up to $600,000 for the most powerful.  More than $2,000,000 will be needed during the coming 2 to 3 years to construct these new voices for Jesus.

Growing pains!  ...with the accent on "growing".... as RADIO 74 INTERNATIONALE expands its networks.

Needed: a larger roof over God's station, and land for antennas

Our Landlord has retired. He urgently needs to sell the house and land which RADIO 74 and some on-site live-in staff have occupied during the past 18 years. He would prefer to sell to us.  But the price, $850,000, is out of our league.

We've outgrown this old house. We need twice the floor space to accomodate staff, offices and studios. RADIO 74 has grown from one local FM transmitter in 1982 into a super-station with three satellite networks, serving FM stations and listeners in some 100 countries.
